hi!!

im trying 2 keep myself accountable making things. its hard when u went to school for art nd then dont have access to the studio space anymore!

so this is kinda where im gonna put ideas and update if i actually do them nd then log my progress on bigger projects!

felt pennants, felt picture frames, felt ornaments

- update, finished cutting out all the triangles for like 5 pennants and started the sewing on one. thought this would be like a fun cute and quick craft. was wrong

- update 2 finished like three pennants prolly spent like 3 hours hunched over the sewing machine my back and neck is wrecked. i figured out that i could machine sew these which is a lot a lot faster but im literally resting my head against the machine to see all the little ways i need to pivot the fabric. horrific. but im definitely getting a groove on these things like i know all the little tricks to do it most efficiently now so we’re rolling

patchwork sweatshirts, patchwork zipper bags

- going thrifting tomorrow for stuff hopefully if im feeling up to it. i had a week of like hyper active cleaning and making and working and am suffering now to do much of anything so we'll see

getting sweatshirts from walmart wednesday. i know i know but thrifting now for a sweatshirt is more expensive than walmart which is insane. and i rlly rlly like the quality and light but fleecy inside texture of the athletico walmart branded crew necks im sorry

lace trimmed bloomers, christmas stockings for the apartment

twin peaks damn fine cup of coffee linocuts to sell at work b4 the print bazaar

- update, sketch is done! needs to be flipped and transferred to the block

- update, ready for the first test print to figure out what areas need a lil more refining, need to run to dick blick (god, there goes another $30, but ok)

risograph prints- maybe fun christmas cards to send to friends and family from the apartment?

- update absolutely not happening

ceramics stuff

i need $85 to start getting on making shit. so no spending money unncessarily 4 a sec

ok im making sooo many cups and soooo many mugs and soooo many altars and sooo many candle holders yall dont even FUCKING KNOW the shit that is going to be produced by my hands. im so so excited. yippee yippee yippee!!!

11/17 i made 4 cylinders that could be mugs, one cylinder with a heavy heavy bottom to trim a tall foot in (like a tea bowl u kno what im sayin?) and a taper candle holder. but 2.5 hours in the studio was enough for today i think. still a little bit nervous walking around in there and figuring out whats what

11/19

getting more confident walking around nd opening drawers nd looking at all the tools available to me. still confused abt the like

wedge a lb for u, wedge a lb for the studio

rule

i made another cylinder and 2 bowls

11/23

i trimmed all my stuff that was able to be trimmed and then got tf out of there cus they were hosting a pottery date night and i think if i saw 6 happy couples making pottery together like theyre fucking patrick swayze i would maybe go insane

ill go back later this week and make some more bowls and maybe start on my gift ideas cus i feel a little more confident abt my ability to use all the equipment and gauge humidity in the studio / drying times / everything i dunno
